i have 4psi of oil pressure at idle when warm

Its had a slight knock ever since that Oil line blew off.

And its got a leaking head gasket....

Yes we are cruising down together.... Looks like Dan choose the right type of car to tag along in. My wagon has got no rear leg room and neither has Dean's Galant sedan.

-----------------------
It's this Sunday, any late entries, that I don't know about, that should be added to the list?
If your name is on the list I will pm you my mob number so if you are running a little late that we can wait at 'Pie in the Sky' for you. That way you don't miss the group drive section.
So look here http://www.sigma-galant.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=2937, if your name isn't there and you want to come, just pm me and you will be added to the list, and you'll get my mobile number, in-case you are late. If you ring after 11:00am, then you are already too late, because we will have left.

There is next to no leg room in the back of the Galant Sedans, even though they were advertised in their day as "The limousine of small cars"

Ill be there with the GC.....just got 2 new front tyres (they grip like there is no tomorrow), getting new backs hopefully before the cruise.....but if not I might need to wear down the remaining tread the old ones :P and doing a service on the car today :D

75wagon may not be the only one with twin carbs on the cruise. After a day of running great the weber has stuffed up again on the way home from work. Keeps stalling and almost undriveable when on the primaries. Had to floor it all the way home to keep it running on the secondaries.

Currently putting the factory twins on - hope they are OK as they have been in the shed for about 4 years.

Maybe this explains why he was over it? I asked him if had the original carb, he said he didn't.

Twin Carbs sweet.

I've been working on the Sigma too. Heres my list of jobs from the last day or so.

Twin carbs and manifold are on, no major problems there.
Made up a custom billet fuel pump block off plate and installed that today.
Stole Dad's electric fuel pump that he wasn't using and also fitted it up.
Bought some new filters for the Ramflo's as the old filters were dead.
And finally got it fired up and running again.
New thermostat, thermostat housing and radiator cap.

Still need to modify the accelerator cable and fit a choke cable before taking it for a test drive. Needs to be done before Midday as i have a party. Hopefully i get time to give it a wash too otherwise i'll have to get up early Sunday.

These carbs are similar to the ones on mine aren't they? How are you going to lengthen the cable?
I've got a Fiat cable on mine, with one end cut off and a screw on attachment to make it fit.
Just so everyone knows what I'm talking about, you can see in this pic (just), the cable actually attaches linkages mounted to the side of the manifold. You can see the end just above the ignition lead that goes to the coil, to the left of the petrol filter. The cable needs to be about 150mm longer than a standard cable.

My carbys are almost exactly the same. I've got 1000 series Ramflos though. The big triangle ones you usually see on V8's. I made up a custom setup when i was a lot younger as 'bigger is always better'

I also made up a custom choke linkage at the same time so i could use a standard choke cable.

For the accelerator cable i left the outer cable the same, then cut the ball end off the standard inner. I then made an extension from another cable that clamped onto what was left of the original one. It's the one part i haven't found yet, and i don't have a clue where it is. I may have to end up making a new one if i can't find it. Maybe a pushbike brake cable will work if i get desperate.

So far that's 2 out. Sometimes it can't be helped....

Hopefully we'll get a few more than what are on the list....

Megalark, are you coming?

It's looking like a great day for it, hope it all turns out like this morning.

See you all on the cruise.

I'm bringing some sigma-galant.com stickers to sell today, for anyone that's interested. I'm making them now, so I don't know how many I'll have when I get there. I've already got 2 that are spoken for, but there should be a few more..
