ok engines back in the car, they just gotta finish of wiring
and get fuel pump etc.
few problems: no room for my big battery that bought
for it awhile ago, smaller battery or battery in boot.
smaller battery option i think nah, won't last long with stereo plan to put in it.
not to mention will probably struggle to start the car
battery in boot my only option i guess
unless anyone else knows what i can do???????????????????

also cant use big k/n pod filter got for it awhile ago
need a smaller skinner one :(

so not long now should be ready to go again soon.
can't wait to drive it, havnt driven in so long
miss it heaps

be easier when put the sub in atleast if theres enuff room :\ eek

My battery in my siggy is in the boot pretty simple
just make sure that your earthing is good.
mine is run down the passenger side but good thing is it makes the engine bay look cleaner and roomier :P

yea guess so, and least the battery will be closer, when want to put sub in
won't have to run wires to the bay.only really need to run the rcas to headunit
and the remote wire, just hope there will be enuff room in the boot for mass sub as well as the battery. and have
actual room left over to have half assed boot lol.

Some car product for siggys return.....
will be in mega need of a mass detail
Image

Stadard Cam from the Brand new never used TR Magna Head thats on the GSR now
Image

Brand new Rolla Rockahz from the same brand new never been used TR Head
Image
Image
wouldve liked to keep em in there but they wuldve rattled with the lumpy crow cam
that putting in there.

the piping around engine had to be replaced.
Image
guess this is why lol
Image
Image

The old head off the GSR, in fairly good condition, stem seals stuffed though
guess thats y was a bit of a smokey bandit. wasn't rings they where just on tolerance
but been replaced anyway.

Image
This head went really good didnt realise it had rollah rokahz :P
and carby was prob best carby ever had for a siggy
started first time everytime.
Image
Thinking of replacing stem sealz and vacum hoses need to be replaced too
starting to crack, should only cost a little bit for parts
then have pretty good head and carby etc.
Image
Does any one know if this astron 2 2.6 head
will work on my astron 1 2L engine???????
cos ye olde gh is feeling bit tired these days
and are the exhaust ports same size as the astron 1 heads
so my pacemakers will bolt up alright?
hope can then this head won't go to waste.

Hopefully next time ill post smething will have GSR back
and will be running without any hiccups etc and have nice lumpy idle hahahaahha :P

Lumpy cam = low vacuum at idle = very little vacuum assist for the brake booster = hard brake pedal.

Cheers.

Paseo spare would probably be 4x100. I got a space saver from one of the Jap importers. Shouldn't have too much trouble getting one as they used them on S13's etc.

Was busy this weekend, clearing out shed for a house for siggy
but found time today, to put all the sub wiring in, wired up ready
to go just need to put the sub in and plug it in next weekend
Image
Image
Image
Image

Thought centre console was perfect size for ipod
so cleaned out the 24yrs of bubblegum out of the centre console
Image

And being fairly roomy decided to put sub remote in there too
Image

ahahha long weekend, now find some time to do stuff. yer

This week got some bling for GSR
Image

Momo pedals
Image

New K+N air filter
Image

Metric Autometer water temp gauge, was hard to find one in celcius
Image

be good to know how warm cars getting, as don't think the stocker gauge accurate with Magna sender
well i hope anyway

also got some 6x9's for the cordia, so gonna be busy long weekend
and have to mount the sub in the GSR and mount the battery properly
and help dad pull out the engine out his mazda, he's getting something nice to put in there :P
so will be great if get ev thing done but i doubt it, see what happens though.

so had the car just over a year i think, was hoping to have done more by now
but not going to badly i guess 8-) And starting to run better and feel better, done round bout 1000km's
since rebuild, think everything starting to loosen up. engine, recon gearbox and new clutch
were all really tight, but startin to feel better now :D

I was thinking of putting in glove box, but to hard to reach over when driving,
still little awkward lifting the console when driving, but easier than glovebox.
depends if u wanna hide it, i just wanted to hide it lol

Was so busy thus long weekend, in between helping dad pull the engine out the 929
managed to get few things done.

had to take quite few things of to mount the gauge where i wanted it
was thinking first put in the centre console tray under stereo
but hard to see there, so thought dash on an angle, works :D
Image

but wasn't so easy the thread for sender was little differentto the one in it (stupid american sizes) and didnt wanna force it
and cross thread the manifold. so had to pay someone to re thread it, then was fine
Image

Night time view, decided to use the old skool globe instead of Bright coloured LEDS, keep it ol skool
Image

Put the sub in mounted, only just enuff room to shut boot lol
and spare hmm dunno couldnt get the fat bitch to go further back :o
Image
Image

only problem lol, when we put lower springs in the rear early on in the piece
the exhaust would slap on diff over medium bumps.
but now with that fat bitch in the boot, clunks all the time lol
guess have to do exhaust next lol

but least the cordia and Sig are in the shed now

hoist view.

Fuel pump:
Image

Guess this is why my exhaust rattles few mills clearance between it and diff now its lowered with
heavy ass daul 12" sub in it
Image

and sick of starter motor playin up ocassionally so stuck the spare GSR one in it
looked in better condition.
and first oil change since rebuild
Image

few leaks, and cos of my cam gotta keep tightening everything up. the engine mounts had come so loose
lucky engine was still sitting in there lol
took back to engine place, they found dodgy injector lead and adjusted the cold rpm
nows goin even better :P

the GSR and roger cordia getting dynoed friday hopefully
