I'm interested in these looms. My coupe is running stock wiring but has H4 bulbs (I cant remember what wattage)
The lights are pretty good but It's only a matter of time before I cook something

GB_BB4C did the same thing TJ, his car started to melt under the dash, that is why he made these up, we are both running the same lights (H4 55w/60 Hi Low and 150w Hi's) and same wiring and have had no problems.

So I got my flares last week and don't like them, lol. They really don't suit the shape of the Galant. They are on ebay for what I paid if anyone is interested.
Anyway, I tried the 15x8's on the front and they are very close to a fit, so I think I will just roll/stretch the guards to suit.

Love those finishing touches.
Glad you don't like the flares, they look crap on the coupes. I tried a couple of shapes and they all looked rubbish. Surprising they look good on the sedans...
After today's efforts with my coupe it's not that hard to get plenty more room with a bit of stretching and roll.

Thanks mate.
Yeah, I was suprised how bad they look. I love them on the GTO's and thought they would look good. Ah, they are on ebay now anyway, lol

I'll wait til yours are sold before I put mine up lol.
Just put up the pics of the flaring, bit further than you will go but my mate said getting an extra inch front and rear was easy to do just with the guard roller, so he went another 3 and changed the shape completely.....

I think I am just being greedy really, lol. I think I will just leave it as is and run some 215's on the back instead of the 205's to help fill the space. Once I rebuild the LSDiff all will be well
As for the fronts, I think I will be keeping them 6inch but pushing the offset 25mm further out so I can remove the bolt on spacers and have a little dishy dish on the front too.
After this the rims will be acid dipped and powder coated. Then they will be done  Until I find some 17inch meshies

Are those high beams 150W sealed beams (ie. "landing light" type) ?

If so, you will get better light out of a set of H1 halogen inserts with good quality 100w globes .... and I think you may find that the "landing light" type aren't strictly road legal.

H1 inserts are dirt cheap (< $50 a pair) ... or I have a virtually brand new set sitting on the shelf you can have for less that that.

Cheers for the offer Dave, might take you up on it.
Finances are a bit tight this month as I found out today my brand new (2000k old) thermo shat itself :( But if you aren't in a hurry to sell I will sort it out with you in the next month or two :)
The 150w landing lights are very bright though, like spot lights really. As far as legal, I think they are the least of my worries ;-)

If anyone has factory twin thermos off something, anything can you measure them for me? My ebay special gave up and I am on the wreckers scab so need something no bigger than 540mm wide and 300mm high. I dont care what they are from as long as they are factory so I can get some from UPI

Well I haven't tried it yet, lol
The one in the bag seems fine but the one that didn't fit seems a bit stiff. Might head outside now and hook them up to a battery.

Okay, so tried both the fans Flashy gave me and they both work a treat but ............ they both foul on the water pump pulley if fitted on the inside and are too big to fit on the outside.
In another twist I wired my fan up flat and it worked perfectly, re mounted to car and didn't work :( I guess it must be bearings as it won't work mounted. Then I yanked, pulled and prodded the wiring at the electric motor and it fired up, so maybe it is an internal wiring connection thats the problem. I will f*ck around with it tomorrow and see what I can rig up :banh:

^This.

I can't wait to save up enough money to get my car the paint it deserves. Having no money sucks.

Have you thought about getting your windows tinted? Looks the goods on my car.

Yeah, the tinters I have met are very annoying. I am not interested in tinting the hardtop, kinda like the clear windows.

Check out this new forum guys, world wide forum for all types of cars. Just starting out but looks really great.
