Still running stock fuel tank ?

What are you using for a lift pump, and where have you mounted it ?

Yeah still running standard tank, got a little rotor style pump ( like a mini bosch 066) straight of tank outlet ( one tight fit ), pumping fuel up into surge tank.

Any chance of a pic of where it's mounted ?

I'm figuring where to mount a similar pump (actually a low pressure Pierburg) in my car ...... but in theory they are supposed to be mounted "wet" (ie. below fuel level, I assume because they don't self-prime?) but finding somewhere it will fit but is reasonably protected underneath a rally car is a challenge !

used a long bolt through fueltank mount (from inside boot), to give me a stud to mount to...bent up a bracket to suit, cardboard one first :P ;-) and fixed with nut at one end and rubberized clamp at other fuel pump end!
Image
front of car <<<<<<<< outlet u turns at fittings, then goes up through floor into surge tank in boot!

Epic build

I thought of this today: As for the CAS, is it possible to get a distributor based unit (like that in a Magna?).
(I know some of the Galant/Lancer owners retro fit later electronic internals into the distributors).

Dave...

The biggest problem is getting a location on the twincam to actually put a dizzy. The only 3 real options are a trigger wheel on the front front of the engine, make room for the CAS at the back of the engine bay with a hammer (easy to do in the sigma, starion and a bit more difficult to do in the GC-GD galants) and finally the best but most difficult to find option is to try and find a front mounted RVR CAS.

Streuth - getting it past the clutch cable is one thing but how are you going to route it past the steering?
I dont doubt you'll find a way to do it but it wont be easy :D
I watched a former member making a 4 into 2 into 1 collector for a 2.6 in a GB. He ran an exhaust shop and spent months making it fit
Top Project - love the updates :P

This is so cool (H)
I look forward to seeing how you thread the dump pipe past the clutch-cable / steering box / draglink :D
I have no doubt you'll find a way ......
