QUAD TURBO anyone?
Re: QUAD TURBO anyone?
interesting probably worth more than it performs..... what engine is that?? 4g?
Re: QUAD TURBO anyone?
That is a work of art. In theory though i dont think it would work any better than a single or twin turbo.
Its a 4G63 out of an EVO ... Im guessing 6.Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.

Re: QUAD TURBO anyone?
Why is everyone so scared off something different i admit its nothing like what we have seen before but u never know this could be the way of the future. When turbo-charging started all those years back it was considered dangerous and a stupid idea look at it now.
Im building a off-road go kart out of my smashed cbr600 the frames twisted and this would be the third build ive done with it im sick of spending money and smashing it y not build something different. Funds permitting this would be a awesome idea for 1 simple reason my motorbike has 4 carbys a blow thru setup would be well over the 10k mark and the only guarantee coming with that is that it will never run right. This is the solution ive been looking for IF (and thats a big if) it works , in saying that if it does work i cant see any reason why it cant be adapted to suit bigger needs.
Personally i like the idea it makes a big difference having quad throttle bodies for a 4 cylinder y not quad turbos i mean think of the possibilities of a computer reading every cylinder and adjusting air/fuel ratio, boost pressure, timing retard etc to suit each cylinder. Not only will u have smoother more tuneable and motor friendly power you would be able to push each cylinder to the absolute limits without sacrificing overall motor reliability. I mean its most probably a long way away but all it will take is programming there's computers out there fast enough to do it. One prime example is magnetic ride control (better known as MRC) which is available in a current HSV gts. Mrc is able to calculate the forces, pressure, electrical current and state of a shock absorber required to maintain optimum grip/stabality at one hundredth of a second.
As i already said this technology is probably beyond our years on this planet or not who knows but there's an old saying that comes to mind "Don't knock it till you try it"

Re: QUAD TURBO anyone?
If you had 8 cylinders, then why not 8 turbos. ;)
